About Girls United
Founded in 2021 in memory of the late Tanya Seabrooks, Girls United was created to empower young girls with the tools, confidence, and support they need to reach their full potential.
Tanya and Christy, best friends and community advocates, often talked about the lack of spaces where young women could learn leadership, self-confidence, and life skills. Their dream was to create a program that would provide those opportunities a place where girls could be seen, heard, and inspired to believe in themselves. When Tanya passed away, Christy knew she had to bring that dream to life in her honor.
Girls United exists because too many young girls grow up without strong role models showing them what’s possible. Our programs were built to change that. By connecting girls with mentors, practical skills, and real-world opportunities, we help them discover their voices, develop leadership abilities, and dream bigger about their futures.
What We Do

Provide monthly school-based workshops covering leadership, confidence, mental health, career exploration, financial literacy, and more.
